In the news..

Have you seen today's Stockport Express? On page 27 there is an article about our newly appointed headteacher Mrs Johnson.

Katherine Vine has included the story in her regular Heatons page and has also mentioned our school's support of local charity The Wellspring, who help homeless and disadvantaged people throughout Stockport. During our Harvest Festival our pupils and parents donated hampers of food and toiletries to the cause.

You can read the full article below;

Merseyway Christmas Lights

Once again our choir has been asked to perform at this year's Merseyway Shopping Centre Christmas Lights Switch-On!

Taking place on Wednesday 13th November, the event is to be hosted by Stockport / Cheshire radio station Imagine FM and our young performers will grace the stage at 3.30pm to sing a number of Christmas carols. Last year our pupils shared the stage with newly reformed pop group Steps as well as 2010 X-Factor winner Matt Cardle - this year there will be more celebrity special guests.

Watch a clip of our performance at last year's event (thanks to Mrs Latif) here.

Please get down early to support us, the more the merrier!

Hitting the high notes...

Congratulations to our Infant and Junior choir who took part in Heaton Mersey Youth Festival's choral competition last week. Our Junior choir came in second place whilst our Infant choir won a cup for coming first!

They sang five songs - Minka, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Scoo Be Doo Song, English Country Gardens, and A Spoonful of Sugar during their performance at St John's Church... and for the first time ever, sang in two parts unaccompanied. Well done to you all!
